Sauvignon Blanc 22nd October

You Want New Zealand?

You Have Got It! THE New Zealand Wine Style – Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc – an indigenous grape of South West France – is now planted in many of the world’s wine regions, producing a crisp, dry, and refreshing white wine. Depending on the climate, the flavour can range from aggressively grassy to sweetly tropical. And it is recognised as New Zealand’s flagship wine, with the variety representing over 50% of wine produced in New Zealand. This tasting will certainly include New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs, but we will also be trying some examples from around the world to compare and contrast with the veritable bounty of N.Z. wines.
